hi! |

My name is Kiya, and I welcome you to my blog. I love writing creatively with the aspirations to publish someday, so your genuine feedback and support would be much appreciated. I am always open to getting to know you more, so feel free to converse with me in the comments or reach out via instagram!

If you feel like stalking what kind of weirdo I was when I first started out, you can do so here. If you’re more intrigued to see how weird I am now, head on over here

the whys |

I find comfort within the alternative realities your mind can compose. Sometimes it can be a dangerous game, because you’re left pining after an existence that cannot be. However, the constructing of realms, the crafting of characters, the meticulous planning of lifespans, and the thwarting of society can be rewarding.

I believe you leave behind a part of you in everything you create. As a writer, you willingly make yourself vulnerable to having your hearts broken by fictional tropes, but also sell your soul to the judgement and interpretation of your audience. Yet the power always lies with you – the mysterious writer who refuses to reveal their source of inspiration.

expectations |

What started out as a creative outlet for me, has quickly turned into a platform where I can sob about fictional characters that broke my heart, or debate about current issues that make my blood boil. It also turned into a place where I can partner up with talented creators to produce fun content.

I’ve also begun to delve into topics close to my heart – something I was scared to do previously, because ew, who likes being vulnerable am I right? Now there’s a broad range of content that touches upon mental health, exposes a bit more about who Kiya is as a person, but also dabbles into areas that aren’t necessarily my comfort zone, but someplace I’ve always wanted to explore.

So I hope now that my blog is more well rounded, and not restrained to the niche of creative writing, there’s something here for you to enjoy and leave your thoughts behind on. I look forward to meeting you!

a quote or two |

A reader lives a thousand lives before they die

An act of writing is to share a part of your soul with the world

Be somebody that makes everyone feel like a somebody ღ

Hi! We just wanted to say thank you for all the positive messages you are sending to us women about the importance of accepting and embracing our bodies and how there is no such thing as perfect.

It is so important that women become aware of the detrimental effects the media’s limiting messages of what beautiful should look like is having on our self-esteem and self-worth.

My campaign ‘Redefining Beautiful’ similarly aims to change the stereotype of what is beautiful and highlight the falseness of Instagram.

We aim to make a positive change to young girls lives and we would really appreciate it if you could support our campaign. The links to our website, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter are below:

    Thank you very much

      Hey there!

Thank you so much for stopping by and leaving such a warm message behind. It is important to tell everyone that beautiful cannot be defined by the media, or society, and that it cannot be found in appearance or trends but instead your nature. I will be sure to check out your campaign and support it. All the best with it!

Its like you learn my thoughts! You seem to understand so much about this, such as you wrote the ebook in it or something.
I believe that you simply could do with some %
to pressure the message home a little bit, but instead of that,
that is magnificent blog. An excellent read. I will certainly
    be back.

      Hey there!

Thank you so much – this comment has made my day! Yes, I did do a collab with Regina in September and no, I’m Tamil haha. Regina is Spanish I think I was the italics and she was the bold. You may have just got our replies mixed up aha. Are you Spanish? (I’m an equally curious person too)

I will head right over and check your blog out! I’m sure it’ll be fabulous!

Yes I know the feeling! I love it when people (like you) stop by and say a massive hello! So thank you!

Oooh you’re the first Catalan person I’ve spoken to! So Tamil people are mainly from Sri Lanka or Tamil Nadu in India (it’s fine, if I’m being honest I didn’t know about the language Catalan until now – I had to google to find out more aha)

Yes I will leave comments behind don’t worry – I often binge read in the night 😂

I love your name! I forgot to mention that before

P.S yes we can! That would be amazing. My email is flawedsilence@gmail.com.

“Whether you choose to blow the light out or reach your safe haven depends on whether you’ll keep holding on.” – This is so beautifully written! I have found myself in a place where I had to make this decision so many times! Pondering whether it’s worth it or not…
