the hustler blogger award

hi all!

so today i’m going to be participating in the hustler blogger award which the kind-hearted ana from diversion3000 tagged me in. thank you so much ❤ she creates the most quirky and creative posts ever so if you’re looking for something new to binge during lockdown, hit her blog up! AND SHE’S ALSO STARTED HER VERY OWN PODCAST! HOW COOL AND TALENTED IS SHE!

Rules:

  1. make sure to include the banner in your award post. you can make it the featured photo or you can just attach it along the blog post.
  2. be sure to give the creator (the amazing markanthonyswall.wordpress.com) pingback on your post, so he’ll be able to read them.
  3. you can nominate numerous bloggers of your choice, but make sure it isn’t less than five people.
  4. answer the questions.
  5. the person who’s being nominated, and who’s about to nominate can add one more question of his/her choice to his/her nominees.

Questions:

Why did you start a blog?

writing has always been a tool of self-expression for myself, and a blog seemed the perfect place to explore emotions, concepts but also inspire people to challenge the opinions society is constructed by. i love interacting with you all, and to hear the impact or constructive feedback you all have for me allows me to develop my character and grow whatever creative writing skills i have. oh, and it also allowed me to connect with like minded people with awesome vibes!

What/who inspired you to do it?

my love for writing. the desire to tackle stigmatised areas in society. the want to contribute towards bettering someone’s life. the emotions and thoughts inside me that i wanted to discuss with others.

What motivates you to keep pushing and creating content and make your site alive?

the state of the world. there’s always so much going on that causes me to think or feel a certain type of way. i get inspired by what i observe within the world, and the memories i have experienced.

Who are your fave bloggers? And how do they urge you to grow as well?

there are many blogs that i follow, and many bloggers that i have had the opportunity to interact with that have supported and inspired me to continue focusing on bettering not only my blog, but also myself. the time that they take to support me on my journey, and to leave behind genuine messages of support, constructive feedback or sharing how they feel about my post gives me the motivation and determination to never give up on my dreams and hopes.

also, being part of their journey and seeing how they also grow as a person with their blog, and openly discussing things helps me grow. i am able to take on their advice and knowledge and apply it to my own journey.

What lesson/s have you learned through your experience?

consistency is key to maintain a solid relationship with your readers, but to also continuously cross paths with new readers. but at the same time, your blog schedule should be set to posting things that you are content and proud of. it doesn’t need to be a numbers game; you will find angels on your journey that will provide you with invaluable support, and you should be patient on your journey. don’t beat yourself up over a burnout of ideas or loosing the want to post consistently.

Has blogging brought impact to you as a person? If yes, what are these?

it’s brought me inner peace. a place i am my authentic self as cheesy as that sounds. i don’t filter anything, and i don’t conceal parts of me. and that has led me to creating incredible friendships with some of you all!

Not everyone is confident enough to start a blog. What advice can you give ’em?

honestly? just go for it!

and stay anon if you feel more comfortable that way, and slowly open up as you see fit!

Give 3 facts about you as a blogger (strengths or flaws)

  • flaw: i can turn into a virtual ghost every couple of months when i’m all burned out. during this time, i get behind on staying on top of reading blogs, leaving behind comments and working on blog content.
  • strength: all my posts are from the heart; i don’t post what i think people would like to read, but rather what i feel the world needs to read
  • strength: i’m open minded and a nice person to interact with. so if you wanna collab, or get to know me more, or share a post or anything, just hit me up! i gottcha!

Drop down your blog post which you are most proud of (together with the link so we can read it)

oof, the posts i’m most proud of are the poems or creative pieces i do. it’s so hard to choose one i’d like to share with you all… i think it’s gonna be the poem i wrote called “sometimes i get lonely” because it’s the first time i let myself be so openly vulnerable online. i usually tend to distance myself from the persona in the poem, but in this case, the poem has quite a bit of me (and i openly acknowledge it) and perhaps you, in it too.

ANA’S QUESTION FOR ME: What have you noticed that’s different from your relationship with other bloggers and people you meet in real life?

the friendships i have formed with bloggers tend to be more solid, have more depth and more genuineness to it than the people i’ve met in real life. i guess the blogging world is a little niche that contains like-minded people. so it’s really quite easily to vibe and form friendships with people who are on the same wavelength.

MY ADDITIONAL QUESTION FOR YOU:

what’s one blog content you put out that took you out of your comfort zone, and why did you do it?

i nominate:

and that, my darlings, wraps up this award! i had a lot of fun answering the questions, and i hope you enjoyed reading them. if you’ve also done the tag, let me know – i’d love to read your responses too!

kiya x

I love what motivates you to blog!! But then again, all of your answers are pretty damn awesome 😂. Your biggest strength is that you are REAL and not in the way that makes everyone real but in a sense that I don’t even have to personally know you to know that you’re being true to yourself and honest on here if that makes sense, It’s just obvious that you’re a genuine kinda person. Thank you so much for the tag! It means a lot ✨💕💕
