hold me tight

hold me tight
and tell me
my version of the truth
is warped.
tell me
these illusions i see
are false and
tell me about
how the night sky is
and although cloaked
in darkness
a safe haven
for those
and hungry for certainty.
feed me
other than the lies
i weave into my mind;
quench me
with faith and belief
and shield me
from the monsters lurking
in my head.
take my hand
and run with me –
run with me
and when i fall
please tell me it’s okay
to not be okay.
