We have all fallen head first into a pit of quicksand that drains our motivation to take baby steps forward at some point in our life. It is safe to say it’s like walking on an iced lake, where we have no idea whether the ice will crack and we will fall into water that freezes our insides ,or whether we’ll gingerly make it across onto land that boasts of vibrant flowers and emerald grass.
(By the way, I would not recommend you to try this analogy out.)
At moments when we feel like we are losing ourselves – losing our focus on what the meaning of our life is – we have to try to readjust the lens and zoom into our vision. Into your vision.
Paint a picture in your mind of what you want to do – what you are passionate about – and remind yourself of why it is so significant to you.
Everyone gives life a different meaning but at the end of the day we all have the burning ambition to let our life have a positive impact on everyone else’s lives.
Let it be a doctor, lawyer, police officer, artist, actress, engineer, what do we all have in common?
We all want want to leave a legacy of goodness behind. A footprint of positivity and the knowledge that we helped change a life for the better.
So if you are lacking the motivation to study, to pursue a hobby, to open up, to express yourself or to do anything, escape to your future for a moment, and then as the passion runs through your blood, let that be the inspiration to clamber out of the quicksand and show the world who you are and what you are capable of.
Because let me tell you a little secret. . .you are capable of everything and anything.
This post is dedicated to a special friend of mine and I want to remind her how amazing she is, and how I believe she will contribute to our world in a wonderful way.
Can’t love you more! I really like the way you write!!

This is precisely why I love both you and your blog so much. Recently, I’ve found it very very difficult to do my work, lacking in motivation and my homework has been terrible. So thank you – I needed this.

Aaand here’s another entry I’ll save on my personal motivational library. It’ll be in that (HUGE) corner called, “Every Inspiring Thing Kiya Wrote” and it shall contain everything you wrote and will write.
Gosh, this piece is so beautiful. Thank you for writing. ❤
